The Turkish Art of Marbling, Ebru
Ebru is the Turkish traditional art of creating patterns on water and then transferring them onto paper. This workshop is a learning experience, in which you will be making your own “ebru” artworks, and keep your works as souvenirs.
Two-Hour Private Sessions are available: If you are minimum two guests, the price will be $160 USD per person. Please ask for a quote for less number of participants.
Whirling Dervishes, Mevlevi Sema Rituel
This workshop will include a short video presentation, an introduction to a Sufi musician and a whirling dervish, interviews with them, live demonstrations on the whirling dervish ritual, and then your own whirling trials. Participants will receive complimentary Quick Guide Pamphlets on this topic.

Traditional Book Arts: Calligraphy, Illumination (Tezhip) and Miniature Painting
Calligraphy, Illumination (Tezhip) and Miniature Painting are three different traditional forms of art, which were used to illustrate manuscript books. Pick one of them and you will be able to make your own works of art, and keep them as souvenirs. Discover the artist within.

Even if you are not staying in this vicinity, you will likely be in our neighborhood as we are only 5-minute walking distance from Taksim Square or the pedestrian street of Istiklal. The Çukurcuma Antiques neighborhood is nearby too.
How to get to the C.I.P from Taksim Square
Take the Sıraselviler street, pass the (former) German Hospital, enter the Soğancı street by turning left from the corner of the Pharmacy. Second block on the right. The name of our building is Cihangir Palas. There is a real estate agency at the ground floor of the building. We have an elevator and we are on the third floor. Private car park is available at the Soğancı street.
